Burnley 4 -1 Hearts: Watch as Craig Wighton nets for Jambos in pre-season defeat

Craig Wighton netted as Hearts were beaten 4-1 by English Premier League side Burnley in a pre-season friendly.

Robbie Neilson took his players down south for a workout against Sean Dyche's side, with internationals James Tarkowski, Eric Pieters and Jay Rodriguez among those who turned out for the Clarets.

Burnley took an early lead when Rodriguez scored from the penalty spot after five minutes. The award was given after Craig Gordon fouled teenager Lewis Richardson.

Youngster Max Thompson then made it 2-0 to the English Premier League side 13 minutes, later before Richardson made it three shortly afterwards.

Wighton pulled one back for Hearts before half-time with a cool finish, low past Will Norris in the Burnley goal.
