Burnistoun creator Robert Florence announces engagement to partner Jennifer Coyle

2020 is already treating Glasgow comedian and writer Robert Florence very well indeed.

The end of 2019 saw the arrival of his beautiful twin daughters Lark Win Florence and Winter Glad Florence - and now the Balornock-born funnyman has become engaged to his partner Jennifer Coyle.

Robert announced the good news on his Instagram page, with a selfie of the happy couple and the ring.

He said: "Me and @jennceline are ENGAGED TO BE MARRIED! It’s time to carry on this great adventure as wife and absolutely lucky bastart husband. Luckiest guy in the world that I’ll soon be able to call the most beautiful, most talented woman in the world my wife. My wife, and me her husband! #MYFIANCEE"

The State Of It comedian made his big break alongside comedy partner Iain Connell when they were recruited by Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill to help write Chewin’ The Fat.

Since then, the Balornock boy has become something of a Glasgow hero.

So we're sure we won't be the only ones saying congrats to the happy couple! We hope 2020 is every bit as brilliant as its beginning!
