Fire crews raced to tackle a blaze on an industrial estate which filled the air with a strong smell of plastic.
Smoke and flames were seen billowing from a building on an industrial estate on Belmont Road, Anfield.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue said they were alerted at 6.36pm to a fire in a single storey building on the estate.

Unconfirmed eye-witness reports said that is was the Hops and Barley Brewery that was the site of the blaze.
Four fire engines raced to the scene and arrived within five minutes to find a "well established fire" had taken hold inside the building.
Hose reel jets were used to fight the flames inside, with smaller fires outside the building also being tackled.
Danny Cooke who was passing by the scene around 6.30pm said he noticed smoke and flames coming from the top of the building as fire crews attempted to gain access by cutting through the fencing surrounding the estate.
He said the air now "reeked" with the smell of plastic following the fire.
The fire service said no cause has yet been established but an investigation had been launched.
Police have blocked off a nearby access road and fire crews are still in attendance but say the fire is now out.
