Burlesque star Dita von Teese is coming to Dublin

One of the worlds most famous burlesque stars is coming to Ireland.

Dita von Teese took to Twitter and Instagram to reveal she is setting out on a world tour, and has included a Dublin date!

The 46 year old will bring her Glamonatrix tour to the Olympia theatre on May 2nd 2020.

She has described it as ‘the most lavish touring burlesque show in history’.

Her show will take place at the Olympia Theatre on Saturday, May 2 2020.

The star, who hails from Michigan in the US, has been coined 'The Queen of Burlesque' and has become famous for her risqué performances, modelling, and acting roles.

Upon the announcement of the tour, Dita said, “I feel so fortunate that burlesque has come to symbolize a celebration of beauty and sensuality in many forms, a place where unlikely icons take the stage and inspire others.

“I’m proud to be a part of the modern burlesque movement and I’m grateful to have the chance to tour with performers that change people’s minds about striptease.”

Her last tour, The Art of the Teese, became the most successful burlesque tour of all time.

Tickets will go on sale this Friday at 10am via Ticketmaster.
