Defending champions Buriram United will try to bounce back when they travel to Sukhothai in Thai League 1 on Saturday.
The Thunder Castle suffered a shock 2-1 loss at lowly Chainat on Wednesday and are now six points behind leaders Port who have 28 points.
Buriram, True Bangkok United, Samut Prakan City and Chiang Rai United all have 22 points.
Buriram have two games in hand ahead of their trip to Sukhothai in this weekend's only Thai League 1 match.
AfterSaturday's game, the league will take a break for the King's Cup, which will be held from June 5-8 at Buriram United's Chang Arena.
"We are very disappointed by the defeat against Chainat,'' Buriram assistant manager Sirichai Kimoto told a press conference on Friday.
"We had chances to win the game but could not grab them.
"Our players have to get back their confidence when they face Sukhothai. They must forget the result in the previous match and look forward to the next match.
"Sukhothai are a good team and strong at home. We can't underestimate their players, particularly their striker John Baggio. But we need three points and we should get it."
Sukhothai coach Ljubomir Ristovski said: "This is an important match for our team after we lost to Muang Thong in the previous match. We have to regroup and try to get three points.
"Buriram are a good team but we are looking forward to the game."
Meanwhile, Jakkraphan Punpee has resigned as coach of Chonburi following a string of poor results.
The Sharks lost 1-0 to newcomers PTT Rayong in midweek and are now 10th in the 16-team top flight.
"I have failed to meet the target so I have to shoulder responsibility for the club's poor show," said the 40-year-old coach.
Jakkraphan replaced Goran Barjaktarevic in April last year.
