CCTV images released by police show a man they want to speak to in connection with an attempted burglary in Prescot.
Two men had managed to break into a property on Wyke Road just before 1am on May 1.
The men had been seen attempting to break into houses on the road before they gained access through the rear patio doors of a property.
However, they were forced to leave left empty-handed after being disturbed by the homeowner’s house alarm.
Nothing was reported to have been taken, however, residents remain “hugely concerned” for their own safety following the break-in.
The man caught on CCTV, who police believe could have information, is wearing dark clothing, a padded bubble-style jacket and wearing a cap.
Officers have been carrying out house to house enquiries and other investigations, however, they’re now asking the public for help to identify the man in the image.
Police believe he was seen in the area at the time of the incident and could have vital information.
