
Police are warning South Siders about a spate of apartment burglaries reported over the last few weeks in Gresham and Chatham.
In each case, someone forced their way into the apartment by prying open a door or breaking through a window, according to an alert from Chicago police. They left with various items after rummaging through the home.
The burglaries happened:
- At 7 a.m. May 16 in the 7900 block of South Drexel Avenue
- At 11:30 a.m. May 18 in the 600 block of West 76th Street
- At noon May 18 in the 8000 block of South Langley Avenue
- At 3 p.m. May 26 in the 8200 block of South Ellis Avenue
- At 6:09 p.m. June 3 in the 8000 block of South Ingleside Avenue
- At 9 a.m. June 7 in the 8000 block of South Ingleside Avenue
- At 12:58 p.m. June 9 in the 8300 block of South Ingleside Avenue
- At 7 p.m. June 10 in the 8200 block of South Ingleside Avenue.
A description of any suspects was not immediately available.
