Burglars target homes in Back of the Yards

Police are warning residents on the South Side of a pair of home burglaries reported this month in Back of the Yards.

A burglary occurred at 3:38 p.m. Feb. 5 in the 2000 block of West 51st Street, Chicago police said. Another happened at 7:10 p.m. Feb. 9 in the 4700 block of South Winchester Avenue.

Police did not immediately provide a description of any suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
