Police are warning Little Village residents about a pair of garage burglaries reported since May 29.

Police are warning residents about a pair of garage burglaries reported over the past week in Little Village on the Southwest Side.

In each break-in, someone forced entry to a garage through a side door and took property from within, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The first burglary happened sometime between 7 p.m. on May 29 and 7:45 a.m. on May 30 in the 3100 block of South Springfield Avenue, police said. The second happened about 3 a.m. on June 1 in the 3100 block of South Avers Avenue.

Anyone with information is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8382.
