Police are investigating a burglary at a shop in which cigarettes and vapes were stolen.
A Cheshire Constabulary spokeswoman said officers were called to Castlefields Village Square in Runcorn at around midnight last night. Cigarettes and vape stock had been taken.
A member of the public told the ECHO the store targeted was the McColl's shop. They said staff arrived at work this morning to find they were unable to gain entry and called the police.

The police spokeswoman said: "At around 12am today, Friday, August 5, police were called to reports of a burglary at a commercial premises in Village Square, Runcorn. Officers attended and found that a number of cigarettes and vaping products had been stolen.
"Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Cheshire Police via cheshire.police.uk or call 101 quoting IML 1334236."
