Burglars ram-raid pawn shop at Salford Precinct

Burglars ram-raided a pawn shop in Salford.

They drove a car at H&T Pawnbrokers, on Fitzgerald Way, Salford Precinct, in the early hours of Sunday (December 8).

Police said the gang managed to get inside the building, but it is not known if anything was taken.

The thugs fled in cars.

A photograph shows the shutters of the shop badly damaged following the incident.

The door of the building also appears to be damaged.

No arrests have been made and police continue to make enquiries.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A GMP spokeswoman said: "At around 5am on Sunday, December 8, 2019, police were called to reports of a burglary on Fitzgerald Way, Salford.

"The offenders drove a car into a store in an attempt to gain access to the building causing damage to the premises.

"The offenders left in the vehicle and at this time it is unconfirmed as to whether any property was stolen.


"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."
