Police are warning residents about a pair of burglaries this month in Pulaski Park and Hollywood Park on the Northwest Side.

In each case, someone pried open the front door of a home and took property from within, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The first break-in happened about 10:15 p.m. Dec. 1 in the 3800 block of West Granville Avenue, police said. Another happened at 3:05 p.m. Dec. 12 in the 5900 block of North Kimball Avenue.

The suspect in the Kimball burglary is described as a man between 35 and 45 years old, standing 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-2 and weighing 200 to 220 pounds, police said. No suspect description was provided for the Granville case.

Anyone with information is asked to call Area North detectives at 312-744-8263.
