In each case, someone forced entry to a window before stealing items, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The first break-in occurred between 11:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Sept. 25 in the 3800 block of West Cermak Road, police said. The second happened about 5 p.m. Oct. 4 in the 1600 block of South Springfield Avenue.

Anyone with information is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8382.
