Burglars help themselves to a £1,000 worth of booze at Liverpool bar

The owners of a newly opened Liverpool city centre bar have released CCTV footage after burglars broke in and stole around £1,000 of alcohol.

Two men broke into Alberts bar on Seel Street at around 6am on Tuesday morning and stole around £1,000 worth of bottles, the owners have said. The burglars are also said to have caused extensive damage to the bar.

The bar has since offered a a £1000 reward for information which leads to a conviction.

A spokesman for the bar said: "We are all devastated by the break-in. "

CCTV footage released to the ECHO shows two men smashing the front door of the bar during the early hours of the morning.

Alberts opened just before Christmas next to Heebie Jeebies on Seel Street. The bar is split across two floors, and shows live Sky Sports.
