A man was attacked after two burglars broke into his home near to Sefton Park.
Police were called to Ancaster Road in Aigburth on Saturday, December 18, to reports that two men had gained entry to a house and attacked a man.
They made off on foot from the scene and police are now keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at around 6.20pm.

The victim suffered minor injuries but was left extremely shaken by the incident.
It is understood that no cash or valuables were taken during the assault, police said.
Officers were seen parked outside the property on Saturday along with an ambulance and a scientific support van.
An investigation is now underway and CCTV, forensic and house-to-house enquiries are being carried out in the local area.
Detective Inspector Stephen Ball said: “This was a shocking attack for the victim who is very shaken by the ordeal.
“Enquiries are now underway and I would appeal for anyone who was in the area at around 6.20pm this evening who saw or heard anything suspicious to contact us.
“We would also appeal to people to check and their recording devices such as CCTV and dash cam to see if they have captured anything significant.”
