Two burglaries were reported in February on the Near West Side.
In each incident, someone broke into the front or back door of a residence and stole jewelry, Chicago police said in a community alert. A navy blue car was seen idling in a nearby alley.
The robberies happen about 5 p.m. Feb. 17 in the 1700 block of South Clinton Street and about 4 p.m. Feb. 18 in the 1400 block of South Emerald Avenue, police said.
