Burglar Tasered by police after breaking into home and threatening terrified man with knife

A knife-wielding burglar who attacked victims in their own homes has been jailed after he was dramatically Tasered by police officers.

Footage captured by body cameras worn by the quick-thinking officers show them using a Taser gun to bring 25-year-old Jacek Gralak under control and prevent further harm.

Gralak kicked off his crime spree on the night of Christmas Eve last year by kicking a man to the floor in a random street attack, running away when bystanders waded in.

He then forced his way into a nearby house and punched and kicked another man, before threatening him with a knife.

The victim fled to hide in his conservatory, where he called the police.

Officers rushed to the home in Gravesend, Kent, and stormed in after hearing cries of distress.

They found a woman running from the kitchen, after initially attempting to hold the door shut to keep Gralak out.

The cops were able to get themselves between the woman and Gralak before discharging a taser to stop him from causing any further harm.

Earlier that evening, Gralak had targeted another man in Gravesend, entering his house while the victim was in his front garden placing some rubbish in a skip.

When he re-entered his living room, he found Gralak inside. He pushed him onto the sofa before lunging at him several times with a knife.

Luckily, none of his lunges made contact with the victim and Gralak fled the scene soon after.

The offender was arrested after being brought under control by police, and was then taken to a local hospital for a precautionary check.

While at the hospital, he attempted to urinate against a wall but was stopped from doing so by a police constable, who Gralak elbowed in defiance.
