
Police are warning South Side residents of two recent burglaries to cellphone stores in the Brighton Park and Back of the Yards neighborhoods.
The burglaries happened Monday and Wednesday, and targeted Metro PCS stores in the early morning, Chicago police said. Someone forced their way into the closed stores and stole property from within.
The incidents happened:
- about 5:45 a.m. Sept. 4 in the 3800 block of South Archer Avenue; and
- about 5:40 a.m. Sept. 2 in the 2000 block of West 47th Street.
The suspect was a man about 20 years old, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 312-747-8382.
