
Police are warning Edgewater and Lake View business owners of three burglaries reported on the same day.
In all three cases, the suspect pried open a rear door and stole cash from the register, Chicago police said in a community alert. The suspect took the entire register in one case.
The burglaries all happened Feb. 9, police said. They happened:
- At 8:20 a.m. in the 5800 block of North Broadway Street;
- Between 8:59 a.m. and 9:19 a.m. in the 3100 block of North Broadway Street and
- Between 10:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. in the 5500 block of North Broadway Street.
The suspect is described as a man in his 50s standing 5-foot-10 and weighing between 160 and 170 pounds, police said. He was wearing a dark jacket and blue jeans.
