Burglar steals eight beef Pot Noodles, leaves all the chicken ones

Police launched the force helicopter to track a man after eight Beef and Tomato Pot Noodles were stolen from a house.

Officers responded to reports of a man climbing a roof after the theft in St Helens this week.

Christine Gibson says her house was targeted by a burglar who took eight of her Beef and Tomato Pot Noodles, but none of the Chicken and Mushroom.

Nothing else was stolen, reports Liverpool Echo.

Ms Gibson said: "When I saw a man in my garden on our camera I phoned the police straight away.

"He jumped on the roof of the flats next to my house, me and my daughter are fine, just both really shaken up."

She added: "He didn't take anything except for eight Pot Noodles - beef and tomato flavoured king sized ones.

"I didn't even realise they were missing until my daughter went and checked, and I knew they were missing as I normally buy 12 at time.

"I had my mobility scooter I think he tried to get that out and spotted the noodles, he didn't take the chicken and mushrooms ones but you can sell Pot Noodles for 50p so I think he took them to sell.

"I'm frightened of him coming back. I'm constantly looking at the camera to see, and my daughter has started having nightmares since."

A 33-year-old man was arrested on Knowsley Road on November 17 on suspicion of burglary.

Anyone with information on this incident can contact police @MerpolCC or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 with reference 21000798828.
