Burglar broke into homes through patio doors while owners slept

A prolific burglar who went on a nine day crime spree just weeks after his release from prison is back behind bars.

Dylan Foreman, 22, was released from prison on November 27 last year where he had been serving a sentence for attempted burglary and car theft.

Just weeks after his release Foreman broke into a house in Wolfick Drive, Spital, on December 30.

Over the next nine days Foreman continued his crime spree targeting homes in Tranmere, Little Sutton, Ellesmere Port, Higher Bebbington and Hoylake.

During the majority of incidents Foreman broke in through the the patio doors and then stole cars and computers while the owners slept upstairs.

A joint operation by Cheshire and Merseyside Police soon linked Foreman to the crimes through CCTV footage, DNA and mobile phone analysis.

Foreman, of Charlescombe Street, Tranmere, was then arrested and charged with five counts of burglary, three attempted burglary, the vehicle thefts and one count of theft of a number plate.

He appeared at Liverpool Crown Court yesterday (July 5) when he was sentenced to four years and nine months in prison.

In June 2017 Foreman was jailed for two years and seven months at Liverpool Crown court after he admitted attempted burglary, two counts of burglary, two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, theft and dangerous driving.
