Burger King worker tests positive for coronavirus and full shift told to isolate

A Burger King worker has tested positive for coronavirus and a number of others told to self isolate.
The company say the branch was closed for deep cleaning and all those affected instructed to go for testing.

A spokesman for the company dismissed claims that protocols weren't followed.

A spokesman said: "An employee at Kingsgate East Kilbride has tested positive for Covid-19, as such we're following all recommended guidance from the government," the East Kilbride News reports.

"The restaurant has undergone a deep clean, and all employees at the restaurant who were on shift have been advised to undergo a Covid-19 test and self-isolate, until it is safe for them to return."
