Earlier this week Burger King announced it was opening eight more restaurants across the country from April 29, 2020.
It comes after the fast-food chain shut its doors across the UK in March to help with the coronavirus crisis.
The restaurants open for delivery from between noon and 11pm from Wednesday include Dundee, Aberdeen, Reading, Hillington, Southampton, Merton and Springfield Quay.
However, Burger King will also re-open its first restaurant for customer drive-thru this week as part of a trial to open more restaurants for drive-thru over the coming weeks.
The restaurant will open in Havant, from Wednesday April 29, between noon and 11pm, and will allow customers to place their orders via the Burger King drive-thru, and for delivery through Just Eat or Deliveroo.
The fast-food chain has also announced it plans to re-open one restaurant in every city by May 31 as part of its phased re-opening plan.
In addition to the eight restaurants opening this week, Burger King will open a further 12 restaurants over the following consecutive weeks.
Marketing Director at Burger King UK, Katie Evans, said: "We are so pleased to be able to open more restaurants across the UK this week, including our first restaurant for customer drive-thru - which is a huge step forward."
Burger King has stressed safety is its number one priority and has put a number of additional measures in place to keep staff and customers safe.
These include additional PPE such as masks and gloves for staff, stringent cleaning measures and contactless delivery options via Deliveroo and Just Eat as well as implementing social distancing in restaurants.
