After a successful trial in Sweden, which had both the UK media and the public pleading for Burger King to bring the burger over to the UK, Monday, July 8 official launch of the Halloumi Burger in the UK, hot on the heels of its chicken fries.
Served in a buttery brioche bun with freshly cut crisp lettuce, onions, tomatoes and creamy mayo, the new burger is sure to cause a serious love affair amongst halloumi loving Brits everywhere.
With the UK now earmarked as the biggest importer of halloumi, chowing down on over 2,000 tonnes of the Cypriot delicacy per year, the demand for halloumi has reached fever pitch and Burger King have listened
Bringing halloumi to the masses, Burger King, which has a new branch in Newcastle, is amongst the first fast food restaurants to offer halloumi burgers to the high streets, stations and airports.
The halloumi burger can be bought on its own, or as part of a meal alongside Burger King’s fries and your favourite drink and, if you’re feeling extra, you can double the halloumi patties.
