Burger King giving away free Whoppers to hungry Glaswegians this week

Burger King is giving 1,000 Whoppers away to hungry Glaswegians for free this week.

The fast food firm has just opened a new branch at the Forge Retail Park in the east end of the city.

And to mark the occasion, Burger King bosses are giving locals freebies from today until Friday, February 5.

Alasdair Murdoch, CEO of Burger King UK said: “We know the people of Glasgow love the great-tasting food of Burger King, so we’ve listened to their requests and we are very excited to bring all their favourites to their neighbourhood.

“Our home of the Whopper is their home.”

To claim the free Whopper, download the Burger King app, head down to the Drive Thru and show the voucher on the app titled ‘Glasgow only: opening special’ for your free burger.

Takeaway will not be available at the branch due to ongoing coronavirus lockdown restrictions across Scotland.

The branch also follows a number of health and safety measures to protect customers during the pandemic.

These include additional PPE such as mask and gloves for staff, stringent cleaning measures, contactless delivery options via Deliveroo and training on the Government’s social distancing measures.

The Burger King app can be downloaded via Google Play or on the App Store.
