Burger King bring back Halloumi King burger permanently but with a spicy twist

Burger King have answered our prays - and fans can once again say ‘Hallou’ to the Halloumi King burger from 10th February.

The best news? It’s here permanently following its original limited release last summer.

This time around there’s even a limited edition Halloumi Chilli King that we can’t wait to get our hands on (and teeth into). But you’ll need to act fast because it’s only here until the 18th February.

What’s in the limited-edition Halloumi Chilli King we hear you ask? Well, it’s made up of halloumi patties, served in a brioche bun with crisp lettuce, onion and mayo with a fresh slice of ripe tomato and a chilli sauce.

Thankfully, both the single and double Halloumi King burgers will be permanent fixtures on the menu.

Now you can obviously enjoy he burger on its own and in all its glory or why not pair it with some of Burger King’s golden French fries and a cold or hot beverage as part of their meal deal?

When you purchase the Halloumi Chilli King on the Burger King app, you get a free portion of regular fries - result!

How much does the Halloumi King burger cost?

  • Double Halloumi Chilli King £5.79 or £7.79 for the meal

  • Halloumi Burger £3.99 or £5.99 for the meal.

  • Double Halloumi Burger £5.49 or £7.49 for the meal

*Prices may vary at different franchises throughout the UK

The UK is the biggest importer of halloumi, and as a nation we chow down on over 2,000 tonnes of the Cypriot squeaky delicacy per year, so no wonder Burger King have decided to treat us with the return of this juicy burger.

Earlier this year, Burger King released a veggie version of their famous Whopper. The soy patty, made with the Vegetarian Butcher, is served with tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise, ketchup, pickles on a seeded bun.

But plant-based Burger King fans weren't happy to hear it wasn't suitable for vegetarians because of the cooking process alongside meat items.

And like the Whopper, the Halloumi King or Halloumi Chilli King are not classified as vegetarian due to cooking process too.
