Here's a bit of the Christmas spirit.
Angela Ahrendts, the chief executive of luxury goods group Burberry, has gifted 50,000 shares to the Ahrendts-Couch Family Foundation, a non-profit charitable trust where she is a director but not beneficiary.
The trust sold the shares at £11.48 each on Thursday, raising £574,000 for charitable donations.
Maybe it should have waited a day - in the market Burberry has added another 10p to £11.58.
