If you thought lobster was a treat, this Covent Garden restaurant is going one step further and handing it out for free next week.
Buns & Buns will be handing out 100 free brioche lobster rolls on Thursday November 15, to celebrate its opening day. The giveaway will take place from 6pm and will be available on a first come first served basis.
There’s only one catch — you'll have to order a main course in the restaurant to receive one.
It's the first Buns & Buns site to launch in the UK, following the success of its debut restaurant in Miami.
Unsurprisingly, bread and buns will be the focus, with all kinds on the menu from fluffy Taiwanese bao to pala romana (a Roman-style pizza bread).
Signature dishes will include a shiitake mushroom bun, a bourbon pork belly bun and a blackened poulet rôti with pão de queijo — a Brazilian bread filled with melted cheese.
Buns & Buns will be open 11am-11pm Monday to Saturday and 11am-10.30pm on Sundays.
