Buns, bao, beer and cocktails on the bill at Brinkburn Street Brewery's festival

Eight guest brewers will be set up in a Byker bar and taphouse for its beer festival this weekend.

Brinkburn Street Brewery's Autumn Advent Beer Festival kicks off at noon on Friday September 27 and runs again the following day.

Visitors can try beers from eight craft brewers and take in talks from Brinkburn Street's own head brewer, Richard Brazen, as well as Steam Machine Brewing Co's founder Nick Smith.

As well as craft pours, visitors to Ouseburn's will have the chance to try out beer cocktails, alongside traditional cocktails for those who do not like beer.

Brinkburn kitchen will be cooking up steamed bao and buns to keep drinkers fed throughout the day.

Doors open at midday, with the festival running until 11pm on both Friday and Saturday.

Entry costs £5, including a glass and token.
