A bunny has survived a very long trip along the M4 after being trapped in a bale of hay on a lorry.
The four-week-old fluffy animal made it through a 216-mile trip from Wales to Surrey inside the hay which had been loaded onto the lorry.
The kit (baby rabbit) was found by a worker at a farm in Guildford, Surrey on Tuesday, March 9 when the hay bale that it was nestled inside was unloaded and opened.
It had managed to stay alive by eating its surroundings.
The youngster was taken to Wildlife Aid Foundation, a wildlife rescue charity based in Leatherhead.
Only last week the charity rescued an injured swan from a pond in Milford which had been shot at with an air rifle. The incident has left it blinded on one side as a metal pellet had become "lodged" in its eye socket.
A photo of the rabbit, taken by Wildlife Aid Foundation, shows the adorable kit is smaller than a human hand.
Thankfully, it is now being cared for by one of the charity's rabbit orphan volunteers, Angela Warren (yes, you read that correctly).
