Bungling burglar dialled 999 for help when he got stuck in a window at the scene of crime

A bungling burglar who was forced to call firefighters after getting trapped upside down in a window as he raided a house has been sentenced.

Frederick Moulton, 53, was arrested after dialling the emergency services during the crime - because he was stuck.

He was handed an 18-month community order and asked to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 to the CPS.

Inspector Louis McCoy, of Wiltshire Police, said on Twitter following the incident: "Interesting one for the team tonight. A burglary arrest with a twist.
