Football returned this weekend in Germany, with the Bundesliga offering fans across the globe welcome respite from the coronavirus pandemic.
But Covid-19 has, and will continue to have, a profound effect on football for months to come, with the lack of fans at stadiums across Germany a stark reminder there is a long road back to normal.
We kicked off with a mouthwatering Revierderby as Borussia Dortmund thrashed Schalke 4-0 before Borussia Monchengladbach beat Eintracht Frankfurt to round off Saturday's action.
Sunday's slate began in Cologne, where Mainz fought back to draw 2-2 with Koln before Bayern Munich's title defence resumed with a straightforward 2-0 away win over Union Berlin.
