Ireland international Bundee Aki has apologised for liking Israel Folau's anti-gay post on Instagram earlier this month.
The Australian full-back is currently awaiting a code of conduct hearing after Rugby Australia announced it's desire to terminate his contract, having served him with a breach of contract notice.
The move from the Wallabies' hierarchy came after he posted a message on social media encouraging "Drunks, homosexuals, adulterers, liars, fornicators, thieves, atheists and idolaters" to repent or "Hell awaits you".
England star Billy Vunipola has refused to apologise for supporting Folau and was confronted by a fan, who ran onto the pitch following Saracens' Champions Cup win over Munster last weekend.
Now Connacht centre Aki has apologised for liking Folau's original post and says it was done without reading the content of the post.
"I just want to address that I mistakenly liked Israel Folau's post without paying any attention to the content," Aki posted on Twitter.
"When I realised what the post was about I immediately unliked it straight away as it does not reflect my views as a Christian.

"Yes I do believe in God but my belief is that he is a God of kindness, peace and loves people in all aspects.
"I have family members, friends and I have worked with many people who are gay and I have nothing but love and respect for them.
"I do want to apologise for any conclusion or offence this may have caused anyone and I will pay more attention to what I 'like' in future."
Current rugby stars have spoken out against Folau's stance, with England flanker James Haskell opposing his view most vociferously.
Wales legend Gareth Thomas, rugby's first openly gay athlete, also spoke out against Folau and Vunipola.
