Bulwell shoplifter fined for stealing razors and toothpaste from Wilko

A woman must pay £157 for stealing goods worth £25 from the Wilko branch in Bulwell on Saturday.

Rona Thirlwell, 37, admitted the theft when she appeared before Nottingham magistrates on Monday, February 17.

James Buckley, mitigating, suggested that a fine would be the best penalty for Thirlwell.

A £40 fine and £117 costs must be paid by Thirlwell of Calder Walk, Bulwell.

Sanjay Jerath, prosecuting, said that he walked into the shop, picked up several items and walked out without paying for them.

A security guard detained her outside the shop, said Mr Jerath. She refused to answer questions put by a police officer, he added.

The stolen items included three razors, two tubes of toothpaste and some cleansing lotion.
