CHICAGO _ Against the Warriors on Wednesday, it may not matter. The game could be decided well before the final 12 minutes.
Whatever the case, Wednesday will mark the third and what Zach LaVine hopes will be the final game for his 20-minute limit with no fourth-quarter action.
"It's going to be tough, especially if it's a close game in the fourth," LaVine said. "But that's just something I've got to deal with. I shouldn't have gotten hurt in the first place. That's just how I feel."
Executive vice president John Paxson said the team will review LaVine's playing time on a weekly basis with the plan to increase his activity assuming no setbacks.
LaVine has averaged 16 points on 57.1 percent shooting, including 62.5 percent on 3-pointers, in his first two games. He also has averaged 3.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 19:32 per game.
He's not fully satisfied.
"I'm still upset over certain plays or certain things I do out there just because I put in so much hard work off the court," LaVine said. "I watch film. I expect myself to do well.
"But I'm happy I'm playing the way I am. I want to continue that. I got in a good rhythm early the last couple games and we're playing the right way, won the last two. Just keep that same trend going."
