Bulls wary of Pacers' 3-point shooting

Nov. 27--The Bulls didn't need to see the Pacers sink a franchise-record 19 3-pointers in their last game, a victory over the Wizards, to know their Friday's opponent capability from that distance.

In the Bulls' 96-95 victory at the United Center earlier this month, the Pacers shot 42 percent from beyond the arc with C.J. Miles sinking 5-of-8 and Paul George going 4-for-5.

"It's been solid," Hoiberg said of the Bulls' 3-point defense, which ranks 13th. "Actually, the last time we played the Pacers, Miles got quite a few looks off. We were there, but we weren't running him off the line. That's what you have to do with a player like that, make him put the ball on the floor. For the most part, we've been solid in that area with the exception of a couple games."

The Bulls are trying to close their four-game circus trip with a 3-1 mark. The Pacers have won nine of 11 after an 0-3 start.

"They're absolutely rolling right now," Hoiberg said. "I watched that game against Washington last week. They were 19-of-26 from the 3-point line. Paul George and CJ Miles, their shots weren't even touching the rim. They were just going straight through. They're a team playing with a ton of confidence. We're going to have to come out with great effort if we want to have a chance at the end."
