April 13--Add Mike Dunleavy to the growing list of those done for the season, just like the Bulls' playoff chances.
With minor stiffness in his surgically repaired back, Dunleavy will join Derrick Rose, Pau Gasol, Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson, E'Twaun Moore and Cameron Bairstow on the sidelines.
The Bulls will dress eight players for Wednesday's meaningless regular-season finale against the 76ers. Coach Fred Hoiberg said Jimmy Butler only will play "a little."
Joining Butler in uniform will be Justin Holiday, Doug McDermott, Nikola Mirotic, Cristiano Felicio, Bobby Portis, Aaron Brooks and Tony Snell.
"I might get a 10-day (contract)," Hoiberg said, jokingly. "It's a lot more fun playing than coaching, I can tell you that."
Hoiberg said exit interviews with players and personnel meetings with the front office will rule the docket in coming days.
Doug McDermott said Hoiberg grew in his first year on the job.
"I think him and his staff have done a really good job with us, being the first year," McDermott said. "It's tough when guys are used to a system and you got a new coach coming in trying to run a different offensive system. I think the coaches did a really good job this year. We just didn't play well enough.
"I think he did a better job as the season went on to hold guys accountable. At first he was still getting used to us, still trying to get a comfort level with us. But trust me there were times at practices and film rooms where he really got after guys and I think that showed a lot about him."
