INDIANAPOLIS _ The Bulls clawed all the way back from a 14-point deficit and a double-digit deficit for most of Friday's matinee against the Pacers.
But when it came to crunch time, they collapsed. And Rajon Rondo watched it all, sitting the entire second half as coach Fred Hoiberg started Michael Carter-Williams after halftime and used Jerian Grant as a reserve.
Paul George's 32 points led the Pacers in their 111-101 triumph, while Jeff Teague added a career-high 17 assists.
Rondo struggled to a minus-20, failing to score with one assist in his 10 minutes, 50 seconds.
Jimmy Butler's 25 points and 20 from Dwyane Wade led the Bulls. But Butler's foul of George on a 3-pointer began a 14-4 Pacers' run that closed the game.
Cristiano Felicio added 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Bulls.
Friday's matinee at Bankers Life Fieldhouse closed the season series against the Pacers at a 2-2 tie.
The Bulls began a game at full strength for just the fifth time this season.
