PHOENIX _ Suns interim coach Jay Triano made no secret of what he thinks of Bulls' rookie Lauri Markkanen.
"Our scouting reports are concerned about how we're going to stop him," Triano said pregame.
The Suns didn't as Markkanen posted season-highs of 26 points and 13 rebounds.
But a series of costly turnovers and blown defensive assignments down the stretch doomed the Bulls in a 113-105 loss to the Suns.
T.J. Warren's 27 points led six Suns in double figures.
Markkanen, back in the state of his college accomplishments at Arizona, started alongside Jerian Grant, Denzel Valentine, Justin Holiday and Robin Lopez. That Bulls' lineup was 2-0 entering and now 2-1.
And it may not be long until Kris Dunn replaces Grant. Dunn closed for the second straight game and finished with 17 points, six rebounds and six assists. But he also had a costly turnover late.
The Suns were without Tyson Chandler, Jared Dudley, Brandon Knight, Davon Reed and Alan Williams.
