April 24--MILWAUKEE -- Kirk Hinrich experienced no setbacks after practicing fully Wednesday and returned for Thursday's Game 3 against the Bucks, his first action since missing four games with a hyperextended left knee.
"Veteran experience. Big shotmaker in the fourth quarter. Plays two positions. Guards. Makes the team function well," coach Tom Thibodeau said about what Hinrich brings.
Already ruled out of Game 3, Nikola Mirotic said he's unsure whether he can play in Saturday's Game 4. The left quadriceps and left knee injuries he suffered in a Game 2 scuffle with Bucks center Zaza Pachulia is improving.
"I'm getting better and better but still really sore," Mirotic said. "I'm doing my treatments. My quad is still really sore right now so I'm just working to get better and be a faster heal. I don't know when the time is but I'm doing my best. Hopefully, I'll be soon on the court."
Thibodeau said Mirotic would play whenever he is able, even if the Bulls take a 3-0 lead with a Game 3 victory.
No team has rallied from a 3-0 deficit in playoff history.
