Bulls' Mike Dunleavy buys Lincoln Park mansion for $3.85 million

Nov. 30--Another Chicago Bulls player has plunked down big dollars for a muscular mansion on Chicago's North Side.

Through a land trust, Bulls' small forward Mike Dunleavy in October paid $3.85 million in cash for a newly built six-bedroom mansion in Lincoln Park.

A veteran of 14 NBA seasons, Dunleavy, 35, has been with the Bulls since 2013. He signed a three-year, $14.4 million contract with the Bulls in July but has been sidelined as he recuperates from back surgery.

Now a North Side homeowner, Dunleavy joins teammate Jimmy Butler, who in September paid $4.3 million for a six-bedroom, 10,000-square-foot mansion in River North.

Dunleavy's new, 6,000-square-foot-plus mansion had been listed in May for close to $4 million. The house has a limestone facade, 6 1/2 baths, three fireplaces, an elevator, a penthouse roof deck and a terrace with skyline views, an eat-in kitchen with Wolf, Sub-Zero and Bosch appliances, a master suite with his and hers closets, and a marble bath, a lower level with a rec room, a wet bar and a wine room, and an attached heated garage.

Susan Miner of Premier Relocation, who represented Dunleavy in the purchase, declined to comment on the deal.

Dunleavy also owns a five-bedroom, 12,192-square-foot mansion in Indianapolis, which he bought in October 2011 for $2.55 million.
