BRIEF: Bulls down Magic, improve to 3-1

Nov. 02--The Bulls let a 15-point, fourth-quarter lead slip to one but hung on to defeat the Magic 92-87 Sunday night at the United Center.

It's the third straight late loss for the Magic at the start of Scott Skiles' tenure.

Derrick Rose knocked down two free throws with 10.3 seconds left to ice the victory. Rose scored just four points but had eight assists and seven rebounds.

Jimmy Butler finished with 14 points, five assists, four rebounds and four steals.

Pau Gasol and Nikola Mirotic each scored 16 points to lead the Bulls, who also got 12 points from Doug McDermott.

Kirk Hinrich, who sat by coach's decision in two of the first three games, missed with a sore toe. Hinrich has played just five minutes all season.

Evan Fournier's 19 points led the Magic.
