DENVER _ Justin Holiday has had better final minutes.
The Bulls dropped their seventh straight game and 11th overall here in this Mile High city, blowing an 18-point lead and falling 111-110.
Will Barton's layup with 3.2 seconds left gave him a career-high 37 points on a drive right past Holiday.
Previously, Holiday fouled Barton on a 3-pointer with 45 seconds left with Barton making all three free throws for a 108 tie. Holiday then attempted a quick jumper on a 2-for-1 possession attempt but missed and fouled Barton with 20.2 seconds left.
Lauri Markkanen and Robin Lopez both scored 20 points to lead the Bulls.
David Nwaba returned to active status after missing 11 games with a severely sprained right ankle but didn't play.
The Nuggets were without Paul Millsap and Wilson Chandler and lost Nikola Jokic to a left ankle injury just before halftime. Jokic leads the team in points, rebounds and assists.
"In my opinion, he's the most versatile big in the game, just with his ability to playmake," Hoiberg said.
