NEW YORK _ The Bulls continued the offensive prowess that has defined their early season, shooting 50.6 percent to blow out the Nets 118-88 Monday night at Barclays Center.
The Bulls also shot 40.7 percent from 3-point range and placed seven players in double figures, topped by Jimmy Butler's 22 points.
The Bulls assisted on 26 of 45 field goals. Taj Gibson, playing in his hometown, added 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The Bulls lost Michael Carter-Williams to a left knee injury in the second quarter.
Coach Fred Hoiberg said at the morning shootaround that the 10-man rotation would look similar against a Nets team he lauded for their competitiveness.
"It's a team that very easily could be 3-0," Hoiberg said of the 1-2 Nets. "As far as all the games I've watched, they play as hard as any team in the league. (Jeremy) Lin has been getting in the paint. They shoot a lot of 3s. They're playing very confident basketball."
It's a very small sample size but the Bulls have clicked in the early going, shooting 43.5 percent from 3-point range in the first two games and scoring the fourth-most points in franchise history after those two games.
