'Bullied by Aston Villa, Kroenke out' - Arsenal fans stunned by second Emile Smith Rowe bid

Arsenal fans have sent a strong message to both Mikel Arteta and Edu over reports of a renewed Aston Villa bid for Emile Smith Rowe.

The Gunners midfielder is out of contract in two years’ time and football.london understands that talks are underway over a new deal.

However, that has not deterred the advances of Premier League rivals Villa throughout the transfer window. Reports suggested that Dean Smith’s men had an opening offer of £25m rejected by Arsenal last week, with the north Londoners not open to selling the young midfielder.

The Athletic now indicate that a second bid has been made for Smith Rowe though up to the value of £30m, but that offer has also been rejected too.

Arsenal fans have reacted furiously to the reports - some appealing to the club not to sell the Englishman.

Meanwhile, others have highlighted Arsenal’s current standing in the Premier League hierarchy, with some conceding that a deal could well be possible should Smith Rowe not commit to a new contract.

They took to social media on Monday morning to express their thoughts.

Since breaking through into the Arsenal first-team during the 2020/21 campaign following a loan spell with Huddersfield Town, Smith Rowe has claimed the creative midfield role with expert ease.

He made 33 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring four goals and notching eight assists.

The second bid from Villa is not the first time that the Birmingham outfit have left Arsenal fans frustrated this summer. Previously a Gunners transfer target, Smith's side secured the signing of Emiliano Buendia earlier this summer.
