Bulldogs NRL trio ordered to self-isolate

A trio of Canterbury players have been ordered to immediately undergo a COVID test and self-isolate after NSW Health identified they'd attended an exposure site.

The NRL revealed on Thursday that Dylan Napa, Brandon Wakeham and Aaron Schoupp had attended the Royal Hotel in Bondi on June 20, which was also visited by a person who has tested positive to the virus.

Until the test results of the three players are known, the remainder of the Bulldogs squad cannot train.

The decision doesn't affect any State of Origin player ahead of Sunday's game two in Brisbane, while none of the players have been in contact with representatives from any other club.

Due to Sydney's COVID outbreak, all clubs in the greater Sydney, Wollongong and Central Coast areas have been placed on Level 3 biosecurity protocols since Tuesday evening and cannot leave home except to train or access essential services.

The NRL has also issued a directive to all Sydney-based clubs, mandating that players and staff were not to attend restaurants, clubs or bars in the Waverley Local Government area on June 17.
