Canterbury have significantly bolstered their forward pack for next season with the signing of Penrith's Jack Hetherington on a two-year NRL deal.
Incoming Bulldogs coach Trent Barrett will take the aggressive young forward to Belmore with him next season as the club looks to rebuild after a miserable season.
The 24-year-old has been given limited game time at the Panthers in 2020 and played six games for the Warriors on a loan deal, where he impressed greatly up front.
However, at the Bulldogs he has the chance to play consistent first grade in 2021.
"Jack is a quality young player who will add a great deal of starch to our forward pack and we believe that he will continue to develop under head coach Trent Barrett, who he has worked with in recent seasons," said Bulldogs CEO Andrew Hill.
"We are continuing to build out the depth in our squad and we believe that Jack will be a real compliment to the group of forwards that we have."
Hetherington will add starch to the Bulldogs pack which will include Luke Thompson, Josh Jackson, Adam Elliott, Dylan Napa and Raymond Faitala-Mariner, as well as new recruit Corey Waddell.
Canberra winger Nick Cotric is also set to join the side from next year.
It comes after a roster clean out with veterans Kieran Foran and Aiden Tolman shown the door at the end of the season.
Jack Cogger, Marcelo Montoya, Kerrod Holland, Sauaso Sue, Tim Lafai and Isaiah Tass were also farewelled after the Bulldogs finished 15th with just three wins for the year.
