Bulldog great D.J. Shockley lists top 5 SEC players, snubbing two UGA studs

Georgia Bulldog great D.J. Shockley made a list of his top five SEC players and left out two Dawgs: LT Andrew Thomas and QB Jake Fromm. There’s a lot of elite talent to choose from in the SEC, but both Thomas and Fromm have been projected as top five picks in the 2020 NFL Draft. Thomas should be among any top five. The problem is the 2020 NFL Draft may have five or more SEC players selected in the top ten. With so much elite talent, it’s understandable Shockley came up with this list:

2) Derrick Brown – AU
3) D’Andre Swift – UGA
4) Grant Delpit – LSU
5) Jerry Jeudy – Bama

Shockley’s list is certainly reasonable, but it’s different from my list:

1. Jerry Jeudy WR, Alabama
2. Andrew Thomas LT, Georgia
3. Tua Tagovailoa QB, Alabama
4. Jake Fromm QB, Georgia
5. Derrick Brown DL, Auburn

What’s your top five list? Do players like D’Andre Swift, Grant Delpit, J.R. Reed, C.J. Henderson, and Najee Harris make it? Ke’Shawn Vaughn is another player to consider. Alabama’s Raekwon Davis will be on the short list by the end of the season. I expect him to have a breakout season similar to Quinnen Williams.
