Bull escapes and goes on rampage terrorising UK town and wrecking cars as school shuts

A bull escaped and went on the rampage terrorising a town and wrecking cars.

It wreaked havoc as astonished local people in a residential street and was pursued by police cars.

The huge beast was spotted bounding along the street in a video from North Muirton, Perth, while several emergency service vehicles followed it closely with their lights flashing.

Bus services in the Scottish town were hugely disrupted by the raging bull which had reportedly escaped from an abattoir.

One school in the area was forced to close its gates to ensure the safety of its pupils.

The Daily Star reported how a van tried to stop the animal from continuing by overtaking it and attempting to block the road.

But the wise bull managed to evade the attempted trap and continued its rampage.

Early on in video footage, reported in The Sun, local residents are seen peering through window blinds as the bull is pursued down the street by two police cars which tried to corral it,

Many animal lovers were saddened by the tragic conclusion of the story.

The video was captioned: "Wee shame. Heard it escaped from [the local abattoir] will be running for it's [sic] life!"

Resident Hollie Syme commented: "Wish I could go and get him and stick him in our field with the horses, poor boy".

Thankfully no residents were injured in the bull bonanza, although similar occurrences have led to fatalities in the past.

The Mirror told in June 215 how a bull had escaped in the village of Tatterstall, Lincolnshire.

The bolshy bovine was seen wandering the street before it managed to open the garage door and enter a property to the shock of homeowners.
