British holidaymakers faced further heartbreak as they will not be able to go to Bulgaria from Monday, the same day the country is set to join the green travel list.
The UK has been placed on Bulgaria’s red zone list with Cyprus, Spain, Fiji and Kuwait.
From 4.00am Monday 19th July Bulgaria & Hong Kong will be added to the green list 🟢 and Croatia & Taiwan the green watchlist of destinations. Please check latest travel advice before you travel as countries and territories may have extra requirements before you get there.

Stoicho Katsarov, Bulgaria’s health minister, confirmed the news on Friday, dealing another blow to British travellers’ holiday plans.
It comes as the UK recorded more than 50,000 dailycovid cases.
Just days ago, it was confirmed Bulgaria was going to move to the green list meaning travellers would no longer need to self-isolate on their return from their holiday.
From 4am on Monday, people will be able to travel from Bulgaria to England without quarantine.
Previously, Bulgaria had been on the amber list.
